The Reusable Bag
After some thinking, and talking to friends and family, I decided to take the plunge into a new blog. The Reusable Bag. Come join in the eco-friendly fun. If you have any ideas for the blog, leave a comment and I’ll see what I can come up with. If you make or sell bags, get in touch with me and I will try to put a spotlight out for ya!
Come join my journey to using the reusable bag.

Works For Me Wednesday: The phone that saved me!
As a few of you know, my posts have been very rare lately. I did try to keep up on Twitter, but its hard to stay up to date on everything going on. However the one thing that saved me was my new AT&T Tilt. I’ve had phones break, modems break, and even KoolAid in my laptop lately. The tilt has me online and I’m not even in a 3G area. Its a bit slower than in the city, but hey it works.
Today I did get my finance’s computer online, and can use the Tilt for a modem. Isn’t that awesome! For a country girl and only having dial-up as a resort when everything else has failed (satellite here we come!) the Tilt has kept me sane.
Some cool specs that I’ve enjoyed include 3.0 Mega Pixel Camera, Sliding and tilting Touchscreen.
Full Qwerty keypad and it has Windows Mobile 6 which is a great upgrade from what I’ve experienced. Having my Outlook calendar at my fingertips has saved me more than once also. If you are shopping around try this phone out, its more than just a phone, its a life saver.

Then Sings my Soul Saturday – Father’s Day Edition
My father was the most amazing man. I love this song and it always reminds me of his strong hands. He had little scars all over them and even a finger that was paralyzed. I miss his hands. I miss him….

The Planting has Started
The polka spot kids helped on Good Friday. I think it was early to start but Mr. Polka Spot thinks we will be ok. Worst case scenario we can replant some things.
From plants we started roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, onions, bellpeppers, chyenne pepper, jalepeno peppers, some other peppers that I don’t remember.
From seeds we started pink eyed purple hull peas, green lima beans, kale, spinach, salad mix, romaine, cantalope, watermelon and broccli.
Today the plan is to start the herbs, but I think that I will wait for a little while. We found some cool hanging pots for the Patio. Mr. Polka Spot hung them yesterday.
If you’ve missed it, I have a personal blog over at Sweet Southern Knits
I will try to move all of my gardening posts from there to here over the next few months. I have lots on my plate right now so I know it won’t be in the next 3 weeks.

Dish Cloth Swap
These came in the mail from Rekesha in Virginia. Its not two but three crocheted dish cloths, a mini notebook and pen, notepad and darling butterfly card (not pictured). All in red and white for Valentines Day!
Also in the mail was my package of loofah seeds! I'm so excited. The new plan is for a larger garden with it being moved to the side of the house. BF said I'm gonna need all 40 acres soon!
