Tackle it Tuesday #120 09/08/08

I’m doing it, I’m really doing it. What’s that you say? I’m gonna get my sink shiny. I know I can’t keep it that way, but I want to log 30 days of a shiny sink. Its a huge goal for me. I don’t always have dirty dishes in my sink, a lot of times they are clean, but draining. Sometimes I leave things soaking, and then its yucky the next morning. I’m shinning my sink for me. I want it to smile at me in the morning. I’m sure it will take more than a month for me to get this habit down pat, but when I reach it I want you to help me choose a treat for myself. Ok going to wipe down my sink. If anyone puts something in it over night, they will be in sooo much trouble!

Tackle it Tuesday #119 (Getting Homeschool Started)

This week we’ve been interupted by Hurricane Gustav, but we did get school started for my 11 year old son Payton. We had been doing a co-op class for Alabama history, and a little spelling here and there. Then came all of the books that we wanted to start with. I did lesson plans for a couple weeks, and now I see that things need to be adjusted. After Christmas we will be adding a couple things also. So far things are going really well. There are days that he gets up and finishes before 10am, then others that he’s not in such a motivated mood, and it takes all day. Today is an unmotivated day, but at least he’s tackling grammar now, and not fighting it.

That’s our tackle for this week. I will update with projects and field trips that will be comming up later in the year.

Tackle It Tuesday #118

Well Today I gave up looking for something to work for a homeschool planner and decided to use One Note and more or less a Paper version after finding out that I need to keep up with it for the Home School group I’m in. I don’t think they ever look at it, but its a just in case. I’ve been using the Daily Docket from Simple Mom. It works well, has a section for anything I could imagine needing. So what’s a new homeschool mom to do? Make my own Homeschool Daily Docket! I’m so happy to have something that will work! I’m sure it may need some updating from time to time, and I’ll probably decide to change some things but if you want it Let me know, or check the downloads on the sidebar.

Here’s the download for hsdd.pdf

Tackle it Tuesday:

Today the plan is to make a plan. I have 3.5 weeks to finish all of my school work, this includes actually 4 papers, 2 are due on the 4th of next month. I want to make meal plans for the next month, along with a school schedule, also I need to find out about t-ball and baseball games. I also need to make a weekly schedule about household stuff or I will go nuts. OK this means my Control Journal is coming out to play. It has to stay out for the next month so things will automatically get done. TIME FOR ROUTINES!!!
